iPhone R.I.P - Long live N900

Talk about iPhone killers! I think what the world of tech has seen 2 days ago was something that’ll go down in history. Let’s start with some numbers; 7 million page loads on www.maemo.nokia.com in the first 6 hours; 12 million page loads up till the second day… The whole world was logging in to check out a new device. Maemo and Nokia N900 quickly became trending topics on Twitter, went up that list like a fat kid trailing an ice-cream truck. Personally, I think it’s this year’s best announcement so far. So far…

Kicking ass in colors!

Nokia’s fourth full touchscreen device is also an XpressMusic – joining the 5800XM and 5530XM. This one is actually an exact copy of the 5800XM looks-wise but a downgraded version of it specs-wise.

The screen is still the same at 3.2 inches, the battery as well (1320mAh). What it takes from the 5530XM is the kinetic scrolling and the homescreen, which I hope are coming soon to both the 5800XM and the N97.

August 24, 2009: the Nokia Booklet 3G is born

If you’re a tech-enthusiast, you cannot but feel joyous when reading this note. Being loyal to a brand, you’d want to buy anything with the brand’s logo on it: a car, a mobile, a laptop, a washing machine, maybe a hair-dryer and a bed for your cat… and looks like Nokia’s getting there. First, the biggest market share of mobile phones. Scratch that out. Now on to netbooks. And the list looks long…

War of the slim phones

It might seem a little weird for some that I’m pitting the E71 against the E52, both being made by the same company, belonging to the same series, and not being exactly similar in terms of shape and size. But if you’re a Nokia lover and in search for the perfect phone for your needs, you’d want to see handsets of the same series battling it out to win a spot on your desk or in your back pocket. Hence this review of the almighty E71 versus the charming E52.

Nokia N900 first PREview

Eldar you lucky bastard! Always the first to get your hands on the kit that makes us drool. Looks like Eldar’s been able, once again, to get an exclusive hands-on with the still-unofficial Nokia N900 – the Internet Tablet that’s supposed to surface real soon, boasting the latest incarnation of the Maemo – a Linux-based Operating System in case you live under a rock.
